According to the UN, 237 million people in sub-Saharan Africa are chronically undernourished. About 60% of Africa’s population is employed in some aspect of the agricultural value chain. In the face of escalating climate uncertainties, agriculture must continue to be productive and lucrative while having little negative influence on the environment. Additionally, there are a lot of unexplored prospects in agriculture that we need to engage youth in. We are aware that modernizing agriculture is essential for ensuring Africa’s future. To commercialize the African economy, build its infrastructure, and coordinate local production of food, textiles, and processed goods to retain more value along the supply chain, a modernized agricultural sector is a prerequisite.
